Onboarding for Wantify

Wantify Onboarding

Wantify began in 2014 as a mobile deals app. The goal of the product was to facilitate local commerce. Originally, the idea was that users would post what they wanted (wantifieds) and local merchants would respond with offers. I was hired in 2015 as the lead designer. My task was to conduct user research and to use my findings to complete a design / UX overhaul of the IOS app. One of the issues that I noticed early on was that users found the idea of Wantifieds to be confusing. To combat this I designed and tested a new onboarding process that forced new users to interact with the Wantified feature.
